AFC Permits Metered Powder Discharge from a Safe Distance

Developed for a major nutritional product manufacturer, the semi-automated, variable speed foot pedal controller enables one worker to discharge a preset amount of dry materials from the bulk bag into a pail, jug, or other container. Depressing the foot pedal initiates the material flow from the bulk bag then gradually raising the pedal stops the flow as the material reaches the fill point.
Suitable for food, nutrition, plastics, chemical, and other facilities transferring bulk materials for batch processing or repackaging, the AFC bulk bag unloader with custom controls sets the control panel on a portable, rolling frame with an extra long power cord. During the bag unloading process, the stand-alone control unit may be placed at a safe distance away from the machine then rolled out of the way when not in use.
The bulk bag unloading system with custom controls is designed and manufactured at the company’s New Jersey headquarters. Material testing is offered in the on-site test lab to document throughput, quality, and other targets may be achieved.
