AFC BULK BAG FILLING STATIONS
Semi-automated bulk powder filling systems load bulk bags, FIBC containers, and super sacks fast and safely.
The AFC bulk bag filler offers a safe, easy way to fill bulk bags to a precise weight with powders, pellets, granules, and other dry, bulk materials. It features a proprietary design that automatically creates a tight seal to fully fill big bags and establish a stable platform for secure transport while preventing dust from escaping into the workplace. In fact, a single operator can fill an entire flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC), jumbo bag, or other container in minutes without coming into contact with the material.
AFC Bulk Bag Filler
The big bag filling station features a rugged, welded, steel support structure that safely handles fill weights up to two tons. It fits bag sizes ranging from 36-inch cubes to 48-inch cubes and can be adjusted quickly to fit changing bag heights, widths and capacities. Custom designs are also available to suit any powder and bulk solids filling application.
AFC includes breakthrough pre-inflation system as standard
This proprietary bag inflation system comes built-in with the big bag filler as standard. Prior to loading the bulk material, the AFC prefill system fills the bag with air to prevent any potential bag creasing, straighten any internal folds, and ensure plastic liners fully conform to the shape of the bulk bag. It establishes a secure seal between the fillspout and bulk bag to mitigate dust exposure. When filled, the capacity of the sack is fully maximized as a stable, safe load while the workplace remains protected from dust and spillage.
How to operate a bulk bag filler
This FIBC filler machine represents a crowning achievement in safe, easy bag fillling operation. The empty bag is set on a pallet, the straps are placed over the arms, and the bag spout is placed around the discharge. At the press of the start button, the filling machine creates a tight seal between the fillspout and bag. Then the prefill inflation system automatically fills the bag with air.
Now it’s ready for filling via the companion AFC Spiralfeeder screw conveyor or other bulk material transfer system. After filling the bulk bag, the flow of material to the discharge spout is stopped and the bag is easily removed from the spout and closed. The stable pallet load may be transferred by lift truck or pallet jack.
