Offered as an option, the round spiral design creates a gentle rolling effect during transfer without cutting, compressing, or otherwise degrading the material. Conveying powders, pellets, granules and other sensitive materials and ingredients moves smoothly and consistently at high throughputs without clumping or clogging while particle size and shape remain intact.
Suitable for conveying fine, fluffy materials such as powdered sugar, coffee, grains, wheat flour, whey protein powder, and pebble lime, the AFC SPIRALFEEDER with the round screw design is customized for each installation based on the material properties, target throughput rate, and other factors. The conveyor screw is machined from 100% stainless steel as standard and is available with a polished surface finish for sanitary food, nutrition, and pharmaceutical processing.
The flexible screw conveyors with the round spirals are designed and manufactured at the company’s New Jersey facility. Product testing is offered in the on-site test lab prior to delivery and installation.
